Pinhole Detector
S3002. Pinhole Detector 9V/67.5V/90V
The Pinhole Detector will detect pinholes and flaws in coatings on conductive substrates using the wet sponge method.
These flaws would eventually lead to corrosion and premature failure of the coating.
Supplied in an industrial Carrying Case with Sponge Assembly and Earth Cable (5m). Calibration Certificate with traceability to UKAS is an optional extra.
Compliant to ISO 29601.
Technical Specification
Operation is by a wet sponge, moistened with water containing a wetting agent, being moved over the coating. If a pinhole is detected, the water will make a conductive path through the pinhole in the coating to the metal substrate, the alarm will sound and the red flashing fault indicator will illuminate.
The Pinhole Detector is suitable for use with coatings up to 500μm.
Voltage accuracy of ±1%.
