The REA VeriCube is an advanced device for verifying matrix and barcodes that can be used in almost any industry. Its flexibility allows measurement in almost any orientation, whether horizontally, vertically or from top to bottom. The highlight is the contact-free detection of the inspection samples in their optimal position.

The REA VeriCube verification system for 1D and 2D Codes

The REA VeriCube is a highly developed and modern matrix and barcode verification system that can be used flexibly and in a variety of ways across all industries. Thanks to its sophisticated design, it enables the measurement of almost any type of test sample, whether lying down, standing up or from top to bottom - everything is contact-free and in the optimum position. The contact-free code verification is carried out using an innovative CMOS camera system.

Several different types of lighting are available, including red or white light. This selection of lighting types makes it possible to verify different code types and surfaces under ideal conditions. Thanks to the interchangeable optical modules, the system can be optimally adjusted to codes of different sizes to ensure the best possible measurement accuracy at all times.

Applications

The right solution for every customer application

Our REA VERIFIER VeriCube is suitable for a wide range of applications to ensure the quality of barcodes, Data Matrix codes and other optical codes. The following are some examples of applications:

Packaging industry: ensuring the readability of barcodes and Data Matrix codes on packaging to ensure smooth logistics (ISO/IEC 15394) and product traceability (ISO/IEC 22742, GS1 General Specifications).

Pharmaceutical industry: Verification of codes on drug packaging to comply with legal regulations and prevent counterfeiting (EU Delegated Regulation 2016/161, USA DSCSA etc.).

Medical devices: Inspection of UDI codes (Unique Device Identification) based on legal requirements (EU 2017/745, USA UDI laws) and on the basis of international IMDRF specifications. Check whether the article number (UDI-DI) exists in the GUDID database. The issuing entities GS1, HICBCC and IFA are supported.

Automotive sector: Checking the marking of parts and components (Direct Part Marking - DPM) to ensure complete traceability and quality assurance (VDA 5510).

Food industry: Ensuring the readability of codes on food packaging to comply with safety and quality standards (GS1 General Specification, traceability, etc.). A new addition is the inspection of the GS1 Digital Link data structure on food packaging.

Logistics and trade: Optimization of processes through reliable readability of codes throughout the supply chain process (ISO 15394, GS1 General Specifications, Freight Forwarder Transport Requirements, VDA 4994, Odette Global Transport Label).

Military: Inspection of code content and data structures based on the US American IUID (MIL-STD-130N) requirements. Inspection of codes in accordance with the regulations of the German Armed Forces (AIT),

Applicable standards

Optical codes are measured in the VeriCube in compliance with defined angles, distances and illuminations and in accordance with ISO standards (ISO/IEC 15415, ISO/IEC 15416). This ensures accurate and repeatable measurement results and quality assessments, which are essential for improving the read rates of the tested codes in your particular application.
